The Challenge

Create a memorable video art piece commemorating the children of the 'Theresienstadt ghetto', using original paintings found and preserved in historical archives, for International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The recurring lyric, "Garden," weaves seamlessly through each scene, linking the melody with the visual art. The entire video follows a cyclical structure, beginning with a scene reminiscent of a blossoming bud-a symbol of growth and potential-and ending in darkness, emphasizing the tragic reality that these young lives would never fully bloom.

Dedicated to the brief, vulnerable, and innocent lives of the Terezin ghetto children.

The project presents a visual narrative that mirrors the progression of the song. the initial frame evokes a landscape that reflects the vibrant imagination and profound inner world of children confined to the ghetto. The original paintings were deconstructed and, through AI technology, were given depth and motion.

It was an immense privilege for us to work with these children's paintings and engage with content of such profound significance.
